Everyone or almost everybody goes to school to find a good job. But as the saying goes, formal education makes you a living but self education makes you a fortune. Every person who goes to work today usually goes in order to barely survive paycheck to paycheck. It is a sad reality that plagues the majority of society despite the higher education levels today.
Why is the good times from our parents generation gone? Why is housing unaffordable? Why are people struggling with bills and commitments? Is the golden era of economics over? Is the 21st century meant to give so many people a tough time at living? What is going on?
Many things are unexplainable just by looking at the statistics.
Even in tiny and well managed Singapore where I live and the United States of America where some of my relatives live as citizens, we face the deep and worsening problem of housing unaffordability.
So what is the solution Chin Ern? (Author) Why do we continue to bear with the worsening problems in our economy? What needs to happen to our government and its structures and institutions? Are we helpless against such economic disparity?
